Thanks to those (albeit few in number!) who were able to come along  to our Harvest Festival at the end of October. The foodstuffs which were donated via Saint Mary’s School and from Parishioners on that afternoon have been distributed via the SVP and the Salvation Army to those in need at this time.

The Knights of Saint Columba would like the opportunity to thank everyone for the generous donations received for the two fund raising events held recently.

Lourdes Walk:  This years walk organised by the Knights of St Columba raised a total of £2,048. Thank you to everyone who donated to this event.

Sponsored Cycle Ride: This years cycle ride held at the NSC in aid of St John Ambulance raised a total of £885. The Knights of St Columba congratulate all the cyclists who took part and say thank you to everyone who sponsored the cyclists or donated to this event.

Thank you Parents of the new intake to Saint Mary’s School who came along to an open evening on Wednesday. We are sure that their children will soon settle in to the school and they will find it – as generations of children before them – a place where they can happily develop the gifts given to them by the good Lord.

Lourdes Fund

The Lenten Alms collected at our three churches raised over £1,200 during Lent. The beneficiaries are The KSC Lourdes Fund and The Lourdes Youth Fund each receiveing £620. Many thanks to you all for your generosity.
