Friends of the Holy Land was established in 2009 to support the
Christians in the Holy Land. We work in close cooperation with the Christian
churches in the region and in the UK.
Friends of the Holy Land is a charitable organisation supporting the
Christians of the Holy Land – the "Living Stones" of our faith. They
are suffering greatly and you can support them by making a donation, including
them in your private prayer, joining an FHL Parish Group or by considering a
pilgrimage. Our work is entirely non-political and is carried out with the
backing and blessing of Anglican and Catholic Bishops in England and Wales.
The primary purpose of the Friends of the Holy Land is to support
Christians in the Holy Land, to enable them to maintain a minimum level of
quality of life such that the pressures to abandon their homeland are reduced.
The Friends provide resources for small projects that make a big difference to
Christians in the community. Funds contribute to the sustainability of the
Christians, especially the most vulnerable.
How you can help our brothers and sisters in the Holy Land:
We are hoping to establish a branch of the Friends of the Holy Land
(FHL) here on the Island. Anyone who would be interested in the work of this
charity please see www.friendsoftheholyland.org.uk
and sign-up on the sheet at the back of church. Canon Philip will then arrange
a meeting to look to the possibility of establishing this group.
